Welcome to the Island County Treasurer's website!
This is a courtesy notice from the Island County Treasurer with regard to all unpaid Island County personal property tax accounts:
Effective December 1, 2011, all Island County personal property* and certain mobile home* tax accounts which are unpaid for 2nd half will incur a nonrefundable $75 fee pursuant to RCW 84.56.070.090.
This fee is in addition to:
- Interest of 1% per month assessed on May 3rd and the 1st of subsequent months
- Automatic penalty of 3% assessed on June 1
- An 8% automatic penalty assessed on December 1
Please contact the Island County Treasurer’s Office at: (360) 679-7302 to determine if your commercial business property or mobile home tax account is delinquent and will be affected.

The Treasurer is elected to a four year term. The Treasurer's
Office provides services relating to the financial operations
of the Island County Government. The Treasurer is custodian
of all funds for Island County as well as junior taxing districts
and special taxing districts (schools, fire districts, hospital,
cemetery districts, diking districts, water districts, ports,
cities, etc.) located within Island County.
Primary
responsibilities include:
- Oversight for monies of the county, cities, and all junior
and special taxing districts.
- Billing, collecting, and administering real and personal property
taxes, special assessments and fees, gambling taxes.
- Collecting excise taxes on sales or transfers of real property
and mobile homes.
- Accounting for all funds and deposits of revenue for the
State, County, and special purpose districts.
- Depositing and investing all funds for the County and junior
taxing districts. Provide banking services for the County and
junior taxing districts.
- Administering short and long-term debt financing.
- Foreclosing on property for delinquent taxes.
