OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT: Comments must be received by Community Development by 4:30 p.m. within 14 days* from the Notice of Application. Comments may be:  mailed to Island County Community Development, P.O. Box 5000, Coupeville, WA  98239; delivered to 6th & Main Street, Coupeville, WA between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; or sent by FAX to (360) 679-7306.

Replace existing deteriorated log piling bulkhead with new log piling breakwater in same location seaward of OHWM to protect existing 600 sq. ft. beach cabin.  Breakwater approx. 115 ft. in length & 6 ft. high spaced 5.5 in. apart.  Cabin foundation to be replaced with concrete columns; existing pilings to be removed.  Install new concrete bulkhead approx. 80 ft. in length & 8 ft. high at toe of slope, & new debris fence 3-4 ft. upland of bulkhead.  Project located within the vicinity of wetland & stream, MFWHCA, flood hazard area, steep slopes, geologically hazardous area, eagle habitat, & Aquatic shoreline designation.
