H1N1 Vaccine Available by Appointment
to Priority Risk Recipients
The Island
County Health Department is scheduling clinics at several health department
sites to dispense vaccine by appointment only, (360) 679-7351, to priority
patients of local non-participating health care providers and for those with no
medical "home."
The Camano
Community Clinic (360 387-5398) and the Health Department (360 387-0184) are
administering the vaccine as supplies permit. The vaccine will become available
at Stanwood or Everett Clinics and pharmacies as the vaccine becomes available

vaccine is being offered on a priority basis to those who are most at risk from
serious effects of this particular viral infection, and to those who provide
critical infrastructure services to our community: pregnant women (injectable
vaccine only - no FluMist); caretakers of infants less than 6 months and their
family members; children and young adults thru age 24 years; health care
workers having direct contact with the ill (hospital, clinic and EMS
personnel), school nurses & teachers; adults thru age 64 with high health
risks for flu-related complications (chronic pulmonary, cardiovascular, renal,
hepatic, hematological, cognitive, neurological, metabolic or immunosuppressive
disorders).
