MANDATORY MEDIATION IN FAMILY LAW MATTERS

Pursuant to Special Procedures Rule (SPR 94.08.3) of the Local Court Rules all contested issues regarding the following family law matters shall be submitted to mandatory mediation:

•  Marriage Dissolution

•  Legal Separation

•  Declaration of Invalidity

•  Nonparental child custody

•  Parentage/child custody

•  Petitions for modification of final order

•  Actions brought by parties in non-marital personal relationships involving parenting issues and/or distribution of assets/liabilities

Mediation shall be completed at least 60 days prior to the scheduled trial date.
