Proposition I scheduled for August 17th Election
Island County remains in a sustained, long-term financial crisis. As service cuts continue, the Board of County Commissioners believes there will be serious impacts to public safety and the quality of public services in Island County.
Proposition 1 “Levy For Retention Of Basic Public Safety And Other Essential Services” is an alternative and provides an opportunity for citizens to choose if they want to retain the current (already reduced) level of County services.
